Some answers to recent inquiries:
How do you remove marks and scatches in the top and non top surfaces?
If you keep the surface saturated with the soap/water solution you should not experience any scuffing of the surface. Squeeging the surface dry or with your alcohol solution can lead to this. We recommend using PLEXUS to treat the surface that will help the squeegee to glide smoothly over the surface.
How is the warranty handled?
If the product fails under the scope of the warranty, simply take pictures of the surface and save the removed product to send to the plant. Replacement film will be issued immediately.
What should I consider when installing film on repainted surfaces?
Repainted surfaces can be a touchy subject as it is not as durable as the factory finish. Factory finishes are baked onto the surface at 350+ degrees which allows a much harder surface and better cohesion bond. Repainted surfaces can be baked only at 150 degrees to prevent damage to the vehicles components and therefore the surface can be more susceptible to lifting, however, if it is a quality job then the burden of concern should not be so much.
How do you remove marks and scatches in the top and non-coated surfaces once they are there? Both from an installation and customer standpoint? What are your recommendations?
If you encounter marks or scratches on the surface of the film, it is a 50/50 chance of being able to remove them completely. Similar to a scratch in the paint, depending on how deep the scratch is will depend on how well you can have it buffed out. We recommend using McGuire’s Scratch X remover or a similar product to remove scuffs/scratches from the product. Again, depending on the severity of the mark will depend on how well it can be removed or lightened up.
So during installation, keep the surface saturated with the soap/water solution to avoid scuffing the surface. Squeeging the surface dry or with your alcohol solution can leave scuffs.
Where can I get the stands you use at the dealerships?
You can get the stands we use (examples http://pro-tectfilm.com/samples) at:

We can make the designs at no cost, and we’ll send you the PDF for you to send to your local printer service. So you’ll just pay for printing and the stands.
